A 49-year-old siomai vendor was shot and killed around noon near the Sto. Tomas police station and municipal hall in Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte.
Authorities identified the victim as Conderella Pansaon Basit, a resident of Purok 13, Feeder Road 4, Barangay Tibal-og. The incident occurred at around 1:30 PM on March 6, 2025, in Purok 10, Feeder Road 3.
According to initial investigation, Basit was cooking at his siomai cart when he was approached by two armed men and suddenly shot in the head. He died instantly from the gunshot wound.
According to witnesses, the perpetrators fled aboard a black Honda TMX motorcycle heading towards Kapalong.
The police search for the suspects continues while determining the possible motive for the murder.
