From the MC20 halo project, the Maserati GT2 Stradale was designed to combine the race-ready performance of its sports car with the comfort of long-distance travel. When it was released in August, it became Maserati's most powerful road-legal car.
Six months after its debut, the GT2 Stradale has arrived in Andalusia, Spain. In the shade of olive trees, Maserati has launched a multi-day driving experience for car enthusiasts. They tested the car from mountainside tracks to Circuito Ascari, where Hypebeast followed the entire journey in their Day in the Life feature.
After a night in Marbella, the event began the next day with a technical briefing. Then, the drivers got into their GT2 Stradale and headed to Ronda. Whether you're on urban roads or rugged countryside, there's no problem thanks to the Nettuno V6 engine's four drive modes.
Before heading to the Circuito Ascari, the group stopped at the La Almazara oil mill, a masterpiece by Philippe Starck. Here, they were joined by Maserati head of design Klaus Busse for a conversation about the Fuoriserie personalization program. According to Busse, “The MC20 is a canvas where you can add aerodynamic elements without compromising its aesthetics.”
On the racetrack, drivers tested the GT2 Stradalespeed, using Corsa Drive Mode to reach 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds
After the adrenaline rush, everyone gathered with Busse and Maserati product manager Andrea Simonetti for an intimate gathering where they discussed design, performance, and the car's connection to people. Busse said, “At Maserati, we want to bring together beauty, performance, and emotionin one car.”
