JENNIE and Doechii released their new collab single “ExtraL,” a song about being confident and claiming the finer things in life.
Produced by DemJointz, “ExtraL” is a hip-hop anthem that encourages women to embrace their strengths and abilities. In this song, the BLACKPINK member shows her fearless confidence, while Doechii's flawless rap skills provide a perfect balance to the track. The result? A world-class song that showcases JENNIE's versatility as an artist.
Along with the release of the song, a special music video full of artistic and choreographed performances was also released. In the elegant mid-century setting, JENNIE, Doechii, and their dancers showed intense energy that further reinforced the song's powerful ending. The music video was directed by Cole Bennett.
Doechii's collab on JENNIE's album RUBY is just one of its many big features, including Dua Lipa, FKJ, Kali Uchis, Childish Gambino, and Dominic Fike. A few weeks before, JENNIE released the single "Love Hangover" with Fike, which immediately entered the Billboard Philippines' Hot 100 at No. 16 spots.
JENNIE also recently released a live performance video for “Love Hangover” where she sings the entire track solo, including Fike's verse. This is the first official teaser for the physical release of RUBY, where all physical versions of the album have JENNIE-only recordings.
Meanwhile, Doechii won his first Grammy for Best Rap Album with his critically acclaimed mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal, which released the hit singles “DENIAL IS A RIVER” and “NISSAN ALTIMA.” In celebration of his success, he released a surprise single “NOSEBLEEDS,” an extended version of his Grammy acceptance speech.
