A couple from Bacolod built The Green Camper, a camper van staycation spot in Don Salvador Benedicto (DSB), Negros Occidental. They wanted to have a quiet and relaxing place away from the noise of the city, so they decided to turn their camper van into a vacation home. But since many people are looking for this kind of staycation, they have opened it to the public.
The Green Camper: Perfect for Relaxation and Outdoor Activities

Accommodation: Fully-furnished camper van
Amenities:
- Living area convertible as a bed
- Mini-kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, and coffeemaker
- Bedroom with double-sized bed

How The Green Camper Began
Originally, it was supposed to be just a vacation home for the family. But because of the inspiration from the camper van trend during the pandemic, they thought of sharing it with others who want to experience this kind of staycation.
According to Berns, "We want to share the joy of this experience with other people—the natural and peaceful vacation that is perfect for relaxation."
The Green Camper: A Nature Sanctuary
The couple also plans to plant more plants and trees to make the area more eco-friendly. For now, this may be the only camper van staycation in Negros Occidental.
