Sony Pictures has moved the release of Spider-Man 4 to a later date—July 31, 2026. The change was to make way for Christopher Nolan's film, The Odyssey, which also stars Holland.
Both Spider-Man 4 and The Odyssey will be released next week, so Sony decided to give it a longer interval the two to avoid overlapping large films. There is also talk that Zendaya may return as MJ in Spider-Man 4, although it has not been officially confirmed.
The The Odyssey, expected to be one of the biggest films of 2026, has a star-studded cast that includes Matt Damon, Mia Goth, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong'o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Benny Safdie, Jon Bernthal, and John Leguizamo.
Meanwhile, production on Spider-Man 4 is expected to begin this summer, but the cast lineup remains a secret.
