The sequel to the cult classic White Chicks, according to Marlon Wayans.
Marlon confirmed this at the NAACP Image Awards 2025, where the Wayans family was inducted into the Hall of Fame. In an interview with Good Morning America, he said that fans have been asking for part two for a long time.
"So, I think it's time," said Marlon. "Let's do Scary Movie 6 first, then let's release White Chicks 2."
In October 2024, Marlon, Shawn, and Keenen Ivory Wayans reunited to make a new Scary Movie, their first project for 18 years.
Marlon Never Wanted a Sequel
Although White Chicks 2 is now confirmed, Marlon has had second thoughts about it.
In 2023, he denied rumors about the sequel after some fanmade posters appeared on Facebook.
In a GQ interview in May 2022, he shared how difficult it was to make 400;">White Chicks. It reportedly took them seven hours to put on makeup, 14 hours to shoot, and another hour to remove the makeup—and after all that, they still had to mingle with the other cast members.
"We almost died in that movie," Marlon said. "Shawn and I only slept two hours a day for 65 days."
In an interview with Esquire in October 2022, he said he would prefer to make a sequel where he would play a Black character, instead who is a White woman. He said it's easier to do because the makeup only takes 15 minutes.
Because of its iconic scenes and lines, White Chicks remains a cult classic. For years, fans have been clamoring for a sequel—and now, it looks like they've been waiting for it.
