Many Filipinos live in Singapore, but high-quality Filipino dining has long been lacking in the country. Today, The Moment Group opened hayop, a fine casual restaurant, as an international spin-off of Manam.
Authentic at Nostalgic
Co-founder Abba Napa decided to open in Singapore after the successful 2019 pop-up. Their goal is to create a dining space where Filipinos can be proud of their national cuisine.
- Inasal na Panga – Charcoal-grilled maguro jaw with annatto, calamansi, and lemongrass oil.
- Adobong Dalaw – Pickled white with turmeric and roasted bone marrow.
- Buko Pie – With parmesan crumble with whipped coconut cream.
Cocktail Bar With a Filipino Twist
The animal also has a cocktail menu that reflects the Filipino flavors: Sour, Salty, Sweet, Bitter, Spicy, and Delicious.

Crowded Nightly!
Since opening in July 2024, the beast is full every night—proof that Filipinos and Singaporeans enjoy it.
For Abba Napa, they prioritize strengthening the Singapore branch before thinking about expansion. “We want this to be the home of Filipino cuisine in Singapore.”
