For the first time in the nearly 100-year history of the Grand Prix de Monaco, TAG Heuer, an LVMH-owned Swiss watchmaker, became the title partner. This historic partnership marks an important milestone for the famous race and for TAG Heuer, which is now also the official timekeeper of Formula 1.
Celebrating its 75th year in Formula 1, TAG Heuer reaffirms its long-standing connection to the highest level of motor racing, particularly at the prestigious race in Monaco. TAG Heuer and Monaco's strong ties date back to decades of association in motorsport and the famous TAG Heuer Monaco collection, so it is only fitting that the race be called the Formula 1 TAG Heuer Grand Prix de Monaco.
Since the '60s and '70s, TAG Heuer has been part of the success of drivers such as Jochen Rindt, Jo Siffert, Niki Lauda, and Ronnie Peterson. In the following decades, its presence on the Côte d'Azur circuit continued with the success of Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna in the '80s and '90s. In recent years, TAG Heuer's support of Oracle Red Bull Racing has continued with the success of Daniel Ricciardo, Max Verstappen, and Sergio Pérez.
As part of its multi-year deal with the Automobile Club de Monaco, TAG Heuer also became a partner of the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique. According to Antoine Pin, CEO of TAG Heuer, the renewal of their partnership strengthens their alignment in the spirit of competition and the difficult street course of Monaco.
