On February 7, 2025 (Friday), alternative pop band NOBITA and award-winning rap hitmaker Flow G have joined forces on their new collaboration single titled “PNYT". The song is full of emotion and shows the openness of the two's feelings, while discussing the "unpredictable and often painful nature of love." The song is a mix of rock, R&B, and hip-hop sounds.
Along with the release of the song, its official music video was also launched on February 7, 2025 (Friday) at 7:00 pm (PHT).
"Strong emotions require strong means of expression," NOBITA said in a press statement. They shared how they incorporated the song's "frustrating agony while maintaining the right balance of sensitivity and control." According to the band, working with Flow G has given new dynamics to their music. “We released our own style but also tried a direction that was new to us. It feels good to step out of the comfort zone and create something new.”
According to the same statement, "PNYT" started meeting NOBITA and Flow G at a wedding and meeting at several music festivals. Even though the band were not close friends with the rapper, they felt a natural connection with him. This led them to message Flow G on Instagram, and the "Rapstar" immediately agreed to the collaboration.
"PNYT" is NOBITA's first single since they released "Gitna" on July 31, 2024. Meanwhile, this is Flow G's latest release after "Kasama," his collaboration track with Chito Miranda of Parokya ni Edgar in September 2024.
