The P-pop icon's rendition of the song written by Rico Blanco serves as the theme song of Netflix's current action series Incognito.
PABLO is looking for light in the middle of the darkness in his latest single titled "Liwanag Sa Dilim."
Originally written by Rico Blanco and originally sung by Rivermaya, this newly released cover was produced by Jonathan Manalo from ABS-CBN and showcases PABLO's powerful voice (and his signature howl) while singing over a strong beat with a tropical sound. It's a refreshing take on a Filipino classic, but PABLO still manages to make it his own, with a more cinematic presentation now.
"Liwanag Sa Dilim" serves as the theme song of the ongoing Netflix original series Incognito, which features major artists such as Richard Gutierrez, Daniel Padilla, Ian Veneracion, Maris Racal, Kaila Estrada, and Anthony Jennings. The show first aired on January 20, 2025, and continues to remain in the Top 10 of streaming programs in the Philippines.
In other music news, PABLO is set to join his SB19 colleagues Stell, Justin, Josh, and Ken (known as FELIP) for their upcoming comeback EP titled Start and End. The first single from the project is expected to be released on February 28, while the full EP will be released on April 25. Along with their new era, they will also begin a tour on May 31.
This upcoming EP follows their 2023 breakthrough, FOUNDATION!, as well as their collaboration singles from last year, such as “Trade” with Gloc-9, “MOONLIGHT” with Terry Zhong and Ian Asher, and “Ready” with Apl.de.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas.
In 2024, PABLO released his first solo albums, ALON and LAON, released just one week apart in September. The records spawned the hit singles “Butata,” “Drowning in the Water,” and “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.” He also released his first short film UNA, which Billboard Philippines referred to as "the first glimpse of the group leader behind the mask," as this new medium offers a different kind of storytelling from the P-pop icon.
