Terrace Martin shared on X (formerly Twitter) that he discovered a hard drive that was almost 20 years old, filled with collaborations from famous artists like Kendrick Lamar and Quincy Jones.
Martin says this hard drive dates back 17 years and contains "lots of ideas and demos" from artists he's worked with in the past. “It's great to hear where I was musically 17 years ago with my friends like James Fauntleroy, Kendrick Lamar, Beastie Boys, Quincy Jones and many others,” said Martin. "I can see in the texture of the music that I was full of confidence but I still feel a little uncomfortable."
He continued, “Would you like to hear some of these things?”
As a successful solo artist, Martin also contributed significantly to albums such as To Pimp a Butterfly, untitled unmastered and Section.80 by Kendrick Lamar and the album Time Decorated by Quincy Jones. He didn't specify when these demos and ideas were made, but fans are definitely excited to hear them.
