Created in collaboration with Chinese visual artist 野 Dark Question, the re-imagined Emberton III celebrates the upcoming Year of the Snake and is part of a wider celebration Marshall has prepared for the Lunar New Year that the brand is calling “Woodsnake 2025”. According to Marshall, the theme is "inspired by legendary music festivals" – no prizes for the correct answer, but it's Woodstock if you didn't already know – and it will kick off a global tour, with events across China, as well in Paris and New York, where Marshall will engage with local communities to celebrate the Lunar New Year throughout the year.
The special edition speaker has army olive green and burnt orange colors, and packaging that resembles vintage artwork of fireworks and psychedelic rock.
Aside from the cosmetic update, it retains features Marshall fans loved about the original Emberton III speaker, including the promised “32+ hours” of portable playback time on a full charge (which may vary depending on usage ), true stereo sound, IP67 rating that protects against dust, dirt, and small splashes of water, built-in microphones for making calls, and Bluetooth LE connectivity, the “low energy” and more power efficient version of Bluetooth that extends the time of battery.
