One of the automotive world's most exclusive hypercars, the 2022 Pagani Huayra R, is set to make history as the first example offered at public auction through RM Sotheby's — specifically chassis 005, one of only 30 customer-spec tracks -only model.
At the heart of the Huayra R is the naturally aspirated 6L V12 engine, manufactured by HWA AG. Reaching 9,000 rpm and with 850 hp, power is transmitted through a six-speed sequential gearbox, representing the raw spirit of motorsport. With a dry weight of just 2,314 lbs due to the carbon-titanium construction, the Huayra R offers incredible performance and agility on the track.
This particular example, sent to Denmark in 2021 by Formula Automobile, has a bespoke specification that added more than $318,000 USD to its original price. Exposed carbon fiber bodywork, enhanced by Bronzo Chiaro, Bianco Fabriano, and Rosso Dubai accent stripes, matches forged 19-inch Bronzo Chiaro wheels and Brembo ceramic brakes with bronze calipers.
Inside, the cockpit continues the theme of bespoke craftsmanship with matte carbon fiber finishes, anodized matte black aluminum components, and dark gray Alcantara detailing. The Huayra R logo can be seen on the racing seat headrests, reflecting its track-focused design.
Chassis 005 shows just 121 miles on the odometer and has been meticulously cared for, with an extensive factory spares package, including extra wheels and tires. Bidding will begin on February 4 as part of the upcoming Paris Sale.
