Toyota will present a colorful vision for the RAV4 at the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon (TAS) to be held from January 10-12. One of the features being prepared is the RAV4 “Dark Side Performance” concept, which is a far cry from the SUV's traditional rigid image.
Dark Side Performance's design is inspired by sci-fi movies, anime, and video games, aiming to make the RAV4 mysterious and futuristic. Toyota aims to push the boundaries of design and innovation, and showcase the iconic SUV's alternative personality. Although details are still uncertain at the time of writing, this concept is expected to have sharp aesthetic looks and advanced technology, which will be further explored at TAS.
Along with Dark Side Performance, Toyota will also present the Outdoor Lifestyle Package, a more grounded customization based on the RAV4 Off-Road Package. This package is suitable for adventure enthusiasts, and offers the ability to customize according to customers' preferences and budget.
Presenting two visions — one inspired by futuristic sci-fi and the other focused on functional off-road utility — Toyota wanted to showcase the RAV4's adaptability and evolving identity. Visitors can expect an immersive experience that will showcase the SUV's potential to adapt to different lifestyles.
