After the successful launch of the BR-X5 timepiece with a luminous blue case, Bell & Ross returns with another cool-toned offering—the BR-05 Skeleton in Arctic Blue. This new piece in their collection has a stainless steel case and a stunning openworked dial.
The BR-05 Skeleton Arctic Blue shows inspiration from the aesthetic of the '70s, with a distinctly modern and graphic design. The 40mm case diameter houses a striking blue-tinted glass plate dial, with laser engraved irregular lines resembling natural cracks on ice plains, enhancing the frosty design. A white transfer is applied using pad printing, which adds a subtle touch resembling frost.
The skeletonization technique removes unnecessary parts to reveal the watch's essential mechanisms, creating a stunning visual effect. The blue crystal and translucent inner bezel work together to create the illusion that the mechanism is submerged in cold water.
With 12 fixed indexes, the open dial offers a seamless combination of mechanical precision and artistic flair. By stripping away the unnecessary, the design reveals the watch's internal mechanisms, enhancing its visual appeal. The integrated case and bracelet demonstrate Bell & Ross' commitment to creating watches that are not only functional but aesthetically compelling.
It is powered by the BR-CAL.322-1 automatic caliber, which ensures up to 54 hours of continuous time. As a limited edition, only 250 pieces of the BR-05 Skeleton Arctic Blue are available. It is priced at $7,700 USD for the rubber strap version and $8,200 USD for the stainless steel bracelet version. The watch can be purchased at Bell & Ross online and offline boutiques.
