If your PS5 is so hot that you could heat a pizza, you don’t have to worry: the thermal solutions company SCRY is launching the Arctic cooler series with a special version for each model of the PS5. And, of course, they are powered by AI.
Overheating consoles are common, and Sony's PlayStation 5 has been known for overheating issues in recent years. The new Arctic lineup from SCRY features models for every PS5, including the new PS5 Pro. According to the company, the coolers will not only improve hardware, such as the console's internal components, but will also help gamers play longer and more intensely by enhancing stable performance even in the most demanding games.
The Artic V2 (for the original PS5), Artic S (for the PS5 Slim), and Artic Pro (for the PS5 Pro) coolers each come with a proprietary Smart Thermal AI chip designed by SCRY. The coolers utilize a technology called “Smart Thermoregulation,” which automatically monitors the temperature of your console and adjusts fan speeds to prevent overheating. According to the company, the coolers can reduce temperatures by up to 10°C (50°F) during intensive gaming sessions – an impressive achievement if true.
Setting up the coolers is as simple as plugging the fan into the PS5 using USB, and each model includes a fast USB 3.1 port, so there's no need to choose between cooling or using the port.
