Through a new video teaser, Netflix has announced it will be producing a remake of the classic 1975 Japanese action thriller The Bullet Train.
The remake of The Bullet Train will be directed by Shinji Higuchi, known for co-directing Shin Godzilla in 2016 with Hideaki Anno. Higuchi has also worked as a storyboard artist with Anno from the original Evangelion anime to its subsequent films.
Former Japanese actor and SMAP member Tsuyoshi Kusanagi will star in the upcoming Bullet Train Explosion remake, which will follow the suspenseful premise of the original 1975 film. Netflix plans to use VFX and special effects to enhance thrilling visual segments of the train. The remake is set for release in 2025. Check out the teaser for more details.
