The Japanese electronics brand Casio is known not only for its watches but also for its calculators. In 1954, it created the first desk-sized calculator, and in 1972, it introduced the first personal calculator, the Casio Mini, two years before it entered the watch industry with the CASIOTRON, which popularized the automatic calendar function. To this day, Casio continues to make significant contributions in both fields, alongside its innovative projects like collaborations with A.P.C. and various designs under the G-SHOCK brand.
Now, Casio revisits the past by paying tribute to the Casio Mini with three new versions of the CA-53WB. This model features a negative LCD screen with a full keypad that uses the original Casio font, offering both classic style and functionality to users. In addition to basic calculator functions such as addition and subtraction, the watch also includes a dual time function, stopwatch, alarm, and more.
The three retro-inspired colorways in the new lineup are milky white, black, and teal.
For those interested in getting the new Casio CA-53WB, it is now available at Casio starting at $36 USD.
