Amid intense competition in the electric bike market, American e-bike manufacturer Lectric leads the way once again, introducing the next generation of their cargo electric bike, the Lectric XPedition 2.0. XPedition 2.0...which not only maintains the same price as the first model released last year but also includes upgraded specs and an impressive maximum range of 273 km.
Lectric CEO Levi Conlow proudly states, "Since its launch, the XPedition has become America’s best-selling cargo electric bike, thanks to its unbeatable value for money and performance. With the XPedition 2.0, we’ve not only kept the price but also introduced significant performance upgrades that will drive this model’s success even further."
The XPedition 2.0 features a newly designed aluminum alloy frame, with a longer body for increased carrying capacity while maintaining a maximum load capacity of 204 kg. Its power system uses a 750W M24 mid-drive motor, with a peak power of 1,300W and 85Nm of torque, allowing it to provide electric assistance up to 45 km/h.
The XPedition 2.0 offers three battery options to meet various travel needs: the standard single-battery configuration has a 624Wh capacity and can reach a range of 96 km; the long-range version, with a dual-battery setup, can reach up to 193 km; and the super long-range version, equipped with two 48V/17.5Ah batteries, provides a maximum range of 273 km, perfect for long-distance trips.
Additionally, the XPedition 2.0 features a new adjustable dual-spring front suspension with 50mm of travel, providing a smoother ride on rough roads. The 20-inch puncture-resistant tires are slightly narrowed to 2.5 inches for greater agility and control. Hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm disc rotors deliver powerful stopping capability, and the bike comes equipped with a color LCD display, built-in lighting, and turn signals for enhanced functionality.
The XPedition 2.0's battery and power systems have passed UL 2271 and UL 2849 safety certifications, ensuring riders' safety. Additionally, this bike complies with the DIN 79010:2020 cargo electric bike standards and has undergone various safety tests, including brake tests, load capacity tests, and passenger safety tests, especially for children.
