A rare and historic Porsche 911, the "Turbo Remastered" from Porsche's Sonderwunsch program, has appeared for auction. This unique model was created as a tribute to the iconic 1974 911 Turbo gifted to Louise Piëch, daughter of Porsche founder Ferdinand Porsche, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of this model.
First showcased at the 2023 Icons of Porsche festival in Dubai, this special edition is the result of a collaboration between Style Porsche, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, and Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE. In tribute to Piëch's original prototype, the car is finished in GT Silver with custom decals, including an emblem inspired by the Austrian autobahn on the front wing. The black five-spoke wheels, reminiscent of classic Fuchs alloys, complete the nostalgic yet striking exterior.
Inside, the car features a two-tone Lipstick Red and black interior, with retro-inspired green-illuminated dials and red-and-blue tartan fabric — a direct homage to the design of Piëch's original vehicle. Porsche Classic granted special permission to include the original Turbo script on the rear badge, further enhancing the model's historical significance.
Under the hood, the modern 911 Turbo is equipped with a 3.7L twin-turbo six-cylinder engine, delivering over 570 hp, capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of nearly 200 mph. With only 35 kilometers on the odometer, it remains in pristine, delivery-only condition, offering a rare opportunity for collectors.
This special 911 Turbo Remastered will be available for bidding starting November 20 through RM Sotheby’s and is expected to fetch up to $430,000 USD.
