Over two years since its debut, Star Wars: Andor has announced its much-anticipated second season. The next season of the series is expected to premiere on Disney+ on April 22, 2025.
The new season was announced at Disney’s D23 event in Brazil. Serving as a prequel to Rogue One, the second season will span four years, according to a report by The Wrap. It will feature a total of 12 episodes, with every three episodes focusing on a specific time period across each of the four years.
Diego Luna will reprise his role as Cassian Andor, alongside Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly, and Forest Whitaker.
The new season is said to serve as a bridge between Andor and Rogue One and will provide a deeper look into the formation of the Rebel Alliance. According to reports, Andor will also meet his loyal droid, K-2SO.
