More detailed article about Vitpilen 801
The Vitpilen 801 uses a unique Bi-LED projection headlamp, whose design is inspired by the Roadster style. The motor has a DOHC 799cc twin-cylinder engine weighing 52 kg (without oil), with a maximum output of 105 horsepower and 87 Nm of torque. With a total weight of 180 kg, it provides strong acceleration performance. The earlier Vitpilen 701 with separate low handlebars was removed and replaced with a more popular design.
The Vitpilen 801 has four operating modes: Street, Sport, Rain, and a custom Dynamic mode. It includes the Easy Shift quick-shift feature, Cornering ABS, and traction control system, so it's easy and safe to drive in different road conditions. The frame uses a chromoly steel design, where the engine becomes part of the body structure, reducing weight. Also included is the WP APEX adjustable suspension system (140mm front compression and rebound adjustment, 150mm rear rebound and preload adjustment), 17-inch alloy rims, and Michelin Road 6 tires, to ensure stability and good traction.
The Vitpilen 801 has a J.Juan braking system and Bosch ABS, and a Power Assist Slipper Clutch (PASC) to maintain stability during hard braking and acceleration. There's a 5-inch anti-glare TFT dashboard that supports mobile connectivity, and with the Ride Husqvarna Motorcycles app, you can use navigation, calls, and music features.
The Vitpilen 801 is expected to be introduced in Taiwan, and for those looking for a high-end street bike, this model with its unique hollow headlamp design will surely be attractive.
