Bandai Namco Group today announced the 17-meter-tall "RX-78F00/E Gundam Life-Size Statue" at the Japan International Expo 2025 (Osaka・Kansai Expo) next to the "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION." The above ceremony was also over. At the same time, their toy company BANDAI SPIRITS announced the launch of models such as Gundam plastic models, super alloy, and ROBOT Spirits based on this statue. Detailed information about the products will be released in the future.
"GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION" is designed with the theme of "Space Airport of the Future," which shows the world of "Mobile Suit Gundam" where people have expanded their lifestyle in space.
Visitors will experience a future world where people can easily reach the space station using the orbital elevator, socialize in mobile suits, and life in space has become normal.
The "RX-78F00/E Gundam Life-Size Statue" has been modified from the previous life-size movable Gundam in Yokohama "GUNDAM FACTORY YOKOHAMA" and redesigned in a motionless kneeling pose, looking up into space.
The left side of the shoulder and skirt have been replaced with a new design that looks like solar panels or LED lights. In the evening, there will be a special light and smoke show. The meaning of the armor design and special functions will be released in the future.
Since the life-size statue is already in use, product models will definitely not disappear. "RX-78F00/E Gundam Life-Size Statue" will also be released by BANDAI SPIRITS as assembly models, super alloy models, and ROBOT Spirits finished products. The super alloy and ROBOT Spirits products will be showcased at the "TAMASHII NATION 2024" held on November 15, where the new part is expected to be used to recreate the new design of the left armor.
