The secret is out. Zenith and Porter, famous Japanese bag brands, have collaborated for a surprising project. With the theme of travel, the two brands released limited edition Pilot watches with a khaki ceramic finish.
The Zenith Pilot Automatic Porter Edition has a 40mm case size with a tonal dial that matches its khaki-hued case. It is equipped with a 60 hour power reserve and uses the Swiss Maison's El Primero 3620 movement, complete with a 6 o'clock date.
At the same time, the Zenith Pilot Big Date Flyback Porter Edition also has the same color but with a larger case size of 42.5mm. Inside this timepiece is the El Primero 3652 caliber with a 60 hour power reserve along with big date, chronograph, and flyback functions.
To be true to the DNA of this model, the dial on both variants has horizontal grooves that resemble the look of corrugated metal sheets from vintage aircraft. Arabic numerals and logo have lume for readability in low-light conditions. Under bright light, the markings turn a pristine white that accentuates the face of the watch. The orange handsets give a unique color to the dial, which reflects the iconic hue of the interior of the Porter bags.
The Pilot Automatic Porter Edition is priced at $11,300 USD (approximately PHP 650,000), while the Pilot Big Date Flyback Porter Edition is priced at $15,500 USD (approximately PHP 900,000). Limited to just 500 units, both models also come with a khaki Codura effect rubber strap and a nylon khaki strap from Porter, and are available to order starting October 26 on the Zenith website.
