BANKS and Doechii could be the duo we never knew we needed. Featuring BANKS' first new studio release since 2022, “I Hate Your Ex-Girlfriend” showcases the duo's strength as an unlikely pair in an anthemic two-minute track.
"I hate your ex-girlfriend / I don't think that she's appropriate / Someone help her little basic face / And tell her that she's holdin' onto nothin'," BANKS sang calmly in the chorus.
Doechii follows through with the second verse, adding to the song with his figurative wordplay as he mentions: “Put a toe tag on her like a French tip / Wrap a bow around your coffin like it's Christmas / You a sick h*e, you should make a death wish / Scarlet letter, then I seal it with a French kiss, mwah.”
"I Hate Your Ex-Girlfriend" includes a music video directed by Charlie Denis and was released shortly after Doechii got Kendrick Lamar's approval. This single marks BANKS' first solo release from his fourth studio album Serpentina in April of 2022.
