As part of the Casiotron's 50th anniversary celebration, Casio has launched a new limited edition.
Reflecting the brand's “Zero to One” philosophy, the new Casiotron TRN50ZE-1 has a sleek design and sophisticated color scheme. From the bezel, logo to part of the bracelet, there are golden details that add a classy touch to the glossy black watch.
According to Tomoo Kato, chairman of Casio America, the TRN50ZE-1 draws inspiration from candlelight as a symbol of their "journey from darkness to light." The black represents zero and darkness, while the gold accents symbolize the “burning light of creation.”
Although its overall appearance is like an homage to the original model from 1974, the TRN50ZE-1 has modern specs. It can submerge up to 50 meters underwater, is solar-powered, and has a super-illuminator LED backlight, along with features like daily alarms, world time, and smartphone connectivity.
Priced at $600 USD, the Casiotron TRN50ZE-1 will be available on Casio's official webstore and select retail locations.
