Tom Brady is set to auction off watches worth $6 million USD with Sotheby's in their upcoming auction. The auction is titled “The GOAT Collection: Watches & Treasures from Tom Brady” and will be held at the end of the year, featuring many famous luxury watches.
Among the watches that will be included in the auction are special watches made just for Brady. According to GQ's Cam Wolf who interviewed the GOAT quarterback in 2020, he said he doesn't want to sell his watches, “I hope I can't sell them, and I don't think I will. I want it to be part of my collection for a long time.” A total of 27 watches are slated to be part of the Sotheby's auction, but as of this writing, only five have been detailed.
First up, a custom Audemars Piguet Royal Oak estimated at $400,000 to $800,000 USD, it has a white gold and diamond-set bezel. Its dial is salmon-toned and has Brady's name inscribed with the number of Super Bowls (VII) he won, in Roman numerals. The rotor comes with Brady's signature engraved on it. He was last seen wearing the watch at his Netflix roast. The Patek Philippe Nautilus ref. 5980/1R-001 is expected to sell for $180,000 to $240,000 USD and has reportedly been part of his collection since 2017. This rose-gold version is a rare model as Patek no longer makes it.
An ultra-rare Rolex Day-Date Reference 228396TBR is expected to sell for $80,000 to $120,000 USD and has a meteorite dial and diamonds set on the bezel and hour markers. The Richard Mille 35-03 “Baby Nadal” is expected to fetch $300,000 to $500,000 USD, produced in collaboration with longtime brand ambassador Rafael Nadal, and finally, the IWC Pilot's Watch TOP GUN Edition “SFTI” model that estimated to sell for $12,000 to $18,000 USD is worn by Brady in the 2021 Super Bowl victory parade. The auction also includes sports memorabilia such as his 2000 NFL Combine Worn shirt, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Game Worn Helmet, University of Michigan Final College Game Worn jersey and much more, all valued at over $100,000 USD.
