Netflix has released another teaser for the second season of the viral series Squid Game. Almost three years after the South Korean show created a global buzz when the first season was released in 2021, it will finally return to the streaming service on December 26, 2024.
The new teaser begins with a playful montage of the salesman played by Gong Yoo getting ready for the day. He packs his briefcase with the familiar game pieces and prize money that brought Gi-Hun, the main character, into the scheme in the first season. Gi-Hun, played by Lee Jung-jae, also appeared in another teaser that showed the contestant returning to the mysterious complex where the game took place.
The production's captivating depiction of the impossible challenges contestants endure for a chance to win a cash prize has made it the most-watched series on Netflix. The production directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk also received 6 of his impressive 14 Emmy nominations in 2022.
