Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a custom electric G-Class as the official Trophy Carrier for the 2024 League of Legends World Championship, an exciting collaboration with Riot Games. This year's competition will take place in three European cities — Berlin, Paris, and London — and culminate in the Final at the O2 Arena in London this November.
This special electric G-Class will carry the Summoner's Cup, the tournament's championship trophy, to the aforementioned locations. Through the Mercedes-Benz MANUFAKTUR program, the vehicle has details such as the League of Legends Worlds logo embroidered on the headrests and a specially designed trunk module for secure transport of the trophy.
As a long-time partner of League of Legends Esports, Mercedes-Benz's contribution is not only focused on the Trophy Carrier. The brand has also partnered with Riot Games to create exclusive championship rings for the winning team, a tradition that lends extra prestige to the esports event.
Bettina Fetzer, Vice President of Communications and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz, said the brand is happy to create "memorable moments" for fans and to celebrate the competitive spirit that reflects the Worlds 2024 motto, "Make Them Believe."
As defending champions T1, led by popular player Faker, aims to capture another title, Mercedes-Benz continues to strengthen its involvement in esports by combining automotive innovation with the excitement of one of the biggest esports tournaments in the world.
