Zenith has once again teamed up with Hodinkee to release another limited edition of their famous timepiece. This is the third time the two have come together, and the model that received attention today is the Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar.
Encased in finely brushed and polished stainless steel, the 38mm wristwatch is a tribute to a rare prototype El Primero from 1970. Hodinkee describes it as “a wonderful juxtaposition between past and present, slow and fast , old and new.” Its dial, while looking classic and simple from a distance, contains amazing details when viewed up close. The subdials are made of meteorites, which provide an intricate yet durable contrast to its black base.
Like other Zenith references, this special edition proudly displays its mechanical caliber in the open caseback. Its “heart”, the 3610 Manufacture caliber, provides 60 hours of continuous time and powers all watch functions, including day, date, month, moon phase and a chronograph that measures up to 1 /10th of a second.
Limited to only 200 units and priced at $13,500 USD, the Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar Limited Edition for Hodinkee. The first 75 numbered editions can be purchased at the Hodinkee Shop, while the remaining units can be purchased at the Zenith website.
