The “Elite Solo” series of Figurama Collectors has released a 20th anniversary commemorative product themed from the classic anime “Fairy Melody”: the “Fairy Melody Lucy 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION” 1/6 scale scene statue! It is limited to only 500 pieces worldwide and is priced at $695 (PHP 38,902). It is expected to be released in the first to second quarter of 2026.
The manga “Fairy's Melody” created by Japanese cartoonist Ren Okamoto first aired on Japan's AT-X channel in 2004. Its story revolves around people who have mutated for unknown reasons, resulting in the female mutants called Erzhi. Their heads grow horns like cat ears, and they can control invisible tentacles capable of destroying humans. Because of this, the Japanese government established a research institution on a remote island to isolate the Erzhi and study them. The story begins with the mutant Lucy mercilessly murdering security personnel and escaping from the research institute. During his escape, he was hit in the head by a bullet which caused him to lose his memory and have a split personality. She is rescued by the male protagonist Kota. She had a cat-like personality and was named Niyu because of her innocent personality.
The “Fairy Melody Lucy 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION” 1/6 scale scene statue is inspired by the very intense and extremely violent scene of Lucy's escape from the laboratory at the beginning of the anime. It shows Lucy's appearance wrapped in bandages and broken research equipment. Lucy's pink hair was flowing, and although her eyes were closed, the cold and calm expression on her face was still visible. The laboratory equipment was destroyed and the blood of everyone who got in his way was clearly visible through the red transparent resin that was scattered all around. It shows Lucy's unparalleled power and recreates the gruesome and bloody scene.
Lucy's elegant white body with a light but firm step seems strange and against the overall scene, adding to the unique atmosphere of the work. There are also Easter egg details such as the pen that pierced a guard's neck and the cup of Kurama's secretary Kisaragi. The important music box seen in the anime is also there, symbolizing the good side of Lucy's heart. Plus, this product comes with a 20th anniversary commemorative pin!
