Do you know which Honda model is the second best selling unit in the European market? You are right! Since its launch in 2017, the X-ADV has sold over 76,000 units in Europe alone. Now, Honda has officially announced the arrival of the 2025 X-ADV ahead of the Milan Auto Show, and finally, they've added practical features like cruise control.
X-ADV always has its own class. In the updated 25YM, its body was redesigned, with a sharper and more aggressive style, and the new front lighting design gave it a premium look. The new bi-LED headlights include driving lights (DRL), and this is the first time that turn signals have been integrated into the design of the motorcycle in the world.
In addition, Honda also mentioned that they used sustainable Durabio and other recycled plastic and rubber materials for some parts of the motor's body, which is compatible with the brand's goal of achieving "100% sustainable material use" by 2050. As I read this, it felt like I was attending an Apple press conference! Environmental protection is not only about exhaust regulations, but also about vehicle materials.
Of course, the update that grabbed the most attention for me was the inclusion of cruise control at the end of the Honda X-ADV. When I tried it before, I felt like it was lacking because cruise control wasn't included in a car with a DCT system, adjustable goggles, and storage space. But now, here he is!
Besides the cruise control, the control keys of the DCT system have also been revised.
For comfort, the adjustment steps of the goggles have been simplified. The 5-stage manual adjustment design is also maintained, and the adjustment stroke reaches a maximum of 139mm. The seat cushion foam is also thicker compared to the previous model, but the seat height still remains at 820mm, which is a bit unfriendly for most local riders. Along with this change, the 22L of storage space remains, but a USB-C charging socket has been added inside. (One more at last!)
And of course, the DCT system is still there. At first, it was hard for car fans to accept it. But now, sales volume and continuous optimization and updates have proven that this system is a new generation product that can combine passion and comfort. This time on the X-ADV, Honda has optimized the DCT for low-speed steering situations of 10km/h, providing smoother throttle response for the rider.
Apart from the aforementioned changes, the X-ADV still retains the same horsepower and torque performance of 57hp @ 6,750rpm, 69Nm @ 4,750rpm, 4 riding modes, 3+1-stage TC adjustable, and TFT instrument panel with RoadSync system for mobile phone connection. Up front, the inverted front fork and 17-inch front and 15-inch steel wire frame configuration still remain. The weight of the motor is at 237 kilograms, which is almost no different from the current version.
The probability that the 2025 X-ADV will be imported into Taiwan is definitely 100%. This facelift has added many features that really fit this type of motorcycle. For those who love long rides, this seems to be the most suitable choice for you.
