Since the announcement of the PlayStation 5 Pro, Sony has released a limited edition collection to celebrate 30 years of the PlayStation.
The collection called the 'PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection' will be released on November 21. The new PlayStation 5 Pro will have gray colors as a tribute to the color of the original PlayStation in 1994. The limited edition '30th Anniversary' PlayStation 5 Pro bundle includes a digital PS5 Pro console and several matching limited edition accessories, such as the DualSense wireless controller, DualSense Edge wireless controller, and DualSense Charging Station, all in retro gray. The bundle also includes a gray Console Cover, allowing those who want to upgrade to the disc version with matching gray instead of the standard white. The bundle also includes the Vertical Stand, a limited edition poster (one of 30 designs), four PlayStation face button-shaped cable ties, and most exciting – an original PlayStation controller-style cable connector housing.
Don't be late, because only 12,300 units are available for the PS5 Pro bundle, and each one has a unique number etched into the console.
Sony is also releasing a non-Pro anniversary edition PlayStation 5 bundle. It's almost identical to the items in the PS5 Pro bundle, but only one controller is included – a regular DualSense, without the DualSense Edge. The bundle includes the PlayStation Portal Remote Player in anniversary colors – and we have to admit, it looks great!
Although no price has been announced yet, Sony has revealed details on how fans can purchase. Pre-orders begin next week, September 26, for the PlayStation 5 Pro Console bundle, PlayStation Portal Remote Player, and DualSense Edge Wireless Controller, and will only be available to users with a PlayStation Network account and in regions where where direct.playstation.com is available (for regions without this service, Sony says, pre-orders will begin on the same date at select retailers). The DualSense Wireless Controller is also open for pre-order on September 26, but will be available at select retailers without the need for a PlayStation Network account. Those interested in purchasing the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition bundle will have to wait until October 10, when, like the regular DualSense, select retailers will have the pack available for pre-order.
