As an extension of the KAWS: HOLIDAY installation in Shanghai, AllRightsReserved has announced that they will be releasing a miniaturized version of the installation through DDTstore.
“KAWS BIG MOON” stands 8 inches tall, serving as both a vinyl art toy and a mood light. With its smaller size, the collectible piece features a colorful creation with a creative and fun twist on its inspiration.
The original installation features COMPANION embracing a full moon while lying on the North Bund dock. The lamp shows the COMPANION in a less comfortable state, as the moon he embraces is not much larger than his body — creating the comical effect of the character as if suffocated by the shining moon.
Starting September 15, 11 p.m. EDT/September 16, 11 a.m. HKT, the “KAWS BIG MOON” lamp will be available for order through the DDTstore website.
