Choosing the right Spirit for your loadout in Black Myth: Wukong is just as important as choosing Weapons and Armor. After you unlock the Gourd in Chapter 1, you can start hunting enemy spirits and use them in battle. But if you're looking for tips on which spirits are best to use, here's our recommendation.
Best Spirits in Black Myth: Wukong
When you use Spirit, you will temporarily change their form and be able to perform their special moves. Along with these skills, each Spirit provides a boost to a general stat or status effect, such as increased Poison damage or increased Defense when performing a specific move such as Rock Solid.
Unlike Transformations, your health will be the same as the Spirits, so it's important that you take them out at the right time. Not sure which Spirits to equip? Here are some that we consider to be the best spirits in Black Myth: Wukong.
Wandering Wight
You may not get this Spirit if you get to the end of Chapter 1 without getting it, but you'll probably see it before you get your Gourd. Thank God, you can get it from the nearest Keeper's Shrine once you get the Gourd, and we recommend you do so because it's great to use especially early in the game.
Wandering Wight gives a huge buff to your defense (+20 to be exact), which can make a huge difference in battles. Not only this, but his Faithful Kowtow special attack allows you to deal massive damage by bashing the giant's head into an enemy.
Guangmou
Another Spirit you can get from Chapter 1, and with him, you can use the Veiled Vipers special attack. When you do this, four snakes will appear to help you, dealing poison damage to enemies.
You get a moderate increase in the poison damage you do, and have extra poison resistance. Even if you don't fight many enemies that use poison attacks, you will find many that are vulnerable to poison damage and the status will stack, allowing you to reduce the enemy's health bar while using other moves.
Gore-Eye Daoist
If you want to get the most out of the spells you can cast, Gore-Eye Daoist moderately boosts your Maximum Mana levels. To add to the effect, his Raging Blood attack creates an area that will enhance your attacks while you are inside the glow.
Tiger's Acolyte
This is a fairly simple attack offered by Tiger's Acolyte, but Sharp Edge is a quick hack-and-slash move that can do a lot of damage. In addition to this move, you also get a moderate increase in Critical Damage, so using it at the right time can be a powerful attack. Another bonus, the Qi cost of using Tiger's Acolyte is moderate, while most others are high.
Blade Monk
The Slaughter attack that the Blade Monk can perform allows you to swing a large greatsword twice and then knock it down on an enemy. You also get a moderate attack boost when you finish off an enemy.
Non-White
