American audio equipment specialists JBL introduced the world's first earbuds with a touchscreen case at the beginning of last year, featuring the Tour PRO 2 with a 1.45-inch LED touch display. Now, the 78-year-old brand is back with the latest version in the series — the JBL Tour PRO 3.
Called the brand's “best True Wireless Stereo earbuds,” the Tour PRO 3 improves upon the features of the Tour PRO 2. For example, the Smart Charging Case's screen is now 30% larger while being contained in a smaller package. Key screen features include music playback management, phone call navigation, caller ID details, and more. The case also serves as a wireless audio transmitter, allowing the use of earbuds when attaching the case to an audio source, such as an in-flight entertainment system. Key specifications for the earbuds include JBL Spatial 360 and Head Tracking technology for enhanced immersion, a hybrid dual driver system in each earbud, and a wide selection of ear tip options for the right fit.
The release of the JBL Tour PRO 3 earbuds will begin on September 14 via JBL's UK website, where the pairs will be available in both black and latte colorways at a starting price of £280 GBP (approximately $367 USD). For the American release, early reports indicate that the new earbuds will be released on September 22.
