JAY-Z is known for owning some of the rarest watches in the world. Recently, his collection grew even more impressive when he attended Fanatics Fest wearing a unique timepiece. Although he was dressed simply in a t-shirt and jeans, his watch truly stole the spotlight. As a long-time friend of the house of Jacob & Co., JAY-Z wore the Bugatti Tourbillon, becoming the first person to own this iconic piece, valued at $340,000 USD.
Throughout his career, JAY-Z has amassed some of the rarest watches in the world. Now, his collection includes the Bugatti Tourbillon hyperwatch, designed by the famous and celebrity-favorite jeweler, Jacob Arabo. Last weekend, Arabo, also known as Jacob the Jeweler, posted a video on his Instagram of JAY-Z wearing the watch. In the caption of his Instagram post, Jacob proudly highlighted the significance of JAY-Z's watch, writing, "My dear friend @jayz was the first to own the 5 time zone watch. After 25 years, he’s the first to own the Bugatti [Tourbillon]." The watch was created as a tribute to the Bugatti Tourbillon hyper sports car, which is estimated to be worth $4.1 million USD.
In another Instagram post, Jacob the Jeweler explained the details of the watch, stating, "The Bugatti Tourbillon is the result of months of dedicated work by our teams, each contributing their expertise. Inspired by Bugatti's latest hyper sports car, the Tourbillon reflects the car's iconic design and technology. The 52 x 44 mm case, designed to resemble the car's body, features a front grille, side radiator inlets, and large sapphire side windows." He added, "Inside, the watch is powered by a V16 engine block automaton crafted from a single block of transparent sapphire, paying homage to Bugatti's groundbreaking engine architecture. The 30-second flying tourbillon and retrograde hours and minutes, designed to resemble the RPM counter, are remarkable feats of engineering that set a new standard in horology."
