A motorcycle with a rope barrier became the talk of the town online after it was spotted in Em's Barrio, Legazpi City, Albay. This was shared by Parkeserye, a popular Facebook page that posts photos of untidy parking lots.
The motorcycle was parked in a residential area where there were already many cars parked. But what was different was that it was blocked by a rope, as if it had occupied the part of the road that should have been used by other vehicles.
Many were irritated by what they saw and commented with strong slogans such as, “Has the road been bought?” and “Does the sidewalk have a title?” Others chanted “Kamote,” a call to motorists who do not follow proper road behavior.
The incident has once again brought to light the recurring problem of improper parking on Philippine roads. Many netizens are asking motorists to be more responsible and avoid using public roads as their own garages.
