A 12-year-old girl was injured after being stabbed with a screwdriver and robbed of her cellphone while queuing outside a TV network in Mandaluyong City to seek help.
According to the investigation, the suspect suddenly grabbed the victim's cellphone and immediately stabbed her. The incident occurred on Reliance Street, while the girl was waiting in line.
The child was quickly rushed to the hospital and is currently in good condition.
The Mandaluyong Police immediately caught the suspect in the basement parking of the said building.
It was also learned that the suspect had been monitoring the line of those seeking help for several days before committing the crime. The value of the stolen cellphone is estimated at ₱5,000.
