Good news for K-drama fans! IU and Byeon Woo Seok will be starring in a new romantic K-drama series titled Wife of a 21st Century Prince.
MBC has confirmed the production of a new drama set to air in 2026. Also joining the cast are Noh Sang Hyun and Gong Seung Yeon, sister of TWICE's Jeongyeon.
The story revolves around an imaginary Korea where a constitutional monarchy still exists. IU will play Sung Hee Joo, a wealthy heiress with no royal title. Byeon Woo Seok will play Lee Wan, a prince who is the son of the king but has no real power.
The drama will be directed by Park Joon Hwa, known for popular series such as What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim and Alchemy of Souls.
It is expected to be one of the most anticipated K-dramas of 2026!
