Five were injured after a dump truck crashed into a house on Corazon Aquino Avenue, Barangay San Gabriel, Teresa, Rizal. This happened in the early hours of April 22, 2025.
According to Teresa Police, the truck came from Antipolo and was headed to Morong, Rizal. According to the driver, he lost control of the truck, which was filled with sand, causing it to crash into a house.
The driver and passenger of the truck were injured. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be rescued. Three people in the house were also injured – a couple and their child. Rescuers had difficulty getting them out because the door was blocked, so they had to go through the roof.
According to Mila Tamayo, one of the victims, they were just watching TV in the living room when suddenly the second floor of the house collapsed. They thought it was an earthquake, and now they still have bruises and body pain.
The injured have returned home after undergoing a medical check-up. There are no more complaints against the driver because the truck company agreed to cover all hospital and home repair expenses.
