
Three people were killed and sixteen were injured after a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) collided with a tricycle in Barangay Alangilan, Bacolod City. The incident occurred this Good Friday while a procession was taking place on the highway.
According to the Bacolod City Police, the tricycle was reversing back to the front of the procession when the MPV suddenly hit it. The force of the impact caused the tricycle to flip over and collide with a PNP patrol car.
Due to the impact, people at the front of the procession were run over, resulting in the deaths of three and injuries to others.
The MPV driver tested positive for alcohol in an alcohol test. However, the driver denied it, according to the police report.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing to determine the full details and responsibility of those involved in the incident.
