A teenage girl died after drowning in the swimming pool of a resort under construction in Kawit, Cavite. The victim, identified by the alias "Camille", was not saved at the hospital. The incident occurred on April 18 at around 6:10 p.m. at the Chloe Ryss Miguel Resort.
According to resort owner, Jose Gatdula, the resort is still under construction and is not yet open to the public. The victim and his family were at the resort for a family reunion, and one of them was a former employee of the owner.
Based on the resort's CCTV, the victim can be seen playing in the kiddie pool, then moving to the adult pool. Since his companions did not see him, he continued swimming until he drowned. His uncle even tried to revive him, but he was declared dead-on-arrival at the hospital.
