President Bongbong Marcos' approval rating dropped by 17%, from 42% in February to 25% in March 2025, based on a survey by Pulse Asia. Apart from him, Senate President Chiz Escudero's rating also dropped.
Meanwhile, only Vice President Sara Duterte saw an increase in approval rating, from 52% to 59%. Her trust rating also increased by 8%, now at 61%.
House Speaker Martin Romualdez, despite no change in approval rating, suddenly saw his disapproval increase from 14% to 54%.
When it comes to trust ratings:
Marcos: Only 25% have trust, while 54% have no trust
Duterte: 61% have confidence, only 16% have no confidence
Escudero: 38% trust, 20% distrust
Romualdez: 14% trust, 57% distrust
The survey was conducted by Pulse Asia in March 2025, a month after the impeachment of VP Duterte was signed by more than 200 congressmen.
Marcos's declining ratings seem to be the effect of government issues. Meanwhile, support for Sara Duterte is increasing, despite the impeachment issue, because the public has greater trust in her.
