The 4SM Agri Multi-Purpose Cooperative is now selling cheap rice for P32 per kilo in San Miguel, Bulacan. Using their own rolling store, this was done as part of their “Alay sa Masa” program.
According to Simeon Sioson, chairman of the group, the sale started in Barangay Lambakin. Due to many people requesting cheaper rice, they decided to sell it to other barangays.
Today, they will be selling 300 sacks of rice in Barangay Sta. Rita, right across from the NFA San Miguel warehouse. On Tuesday, the sale will be in Barangay Bulualto.
Residents can buy 1 kilo to 5 kilos per person. Sales will continue while they still have stock of palay.
