Recently, their bodies were found in an abandoned vehicle on the highway between Puebla and Oaxaca.
According to the police, the victims had bullet wounds and signs of torture. A bag containing 8 pairs of severed hands was also found in the area. The students, ages 19 to 30, were from Tlaxcala and disappeared on February 27 after going to Oaxaca for vacation.
8 of them are already known: Angie Lizeth, Leslie, Brenda Mariel, Jacqueline Ailet, Noemi Yamileth, Raul Emmanuel, Ruben Antonio, and Rolando Armando. The 9th victim has not yet been identified.
Authorities are still investigating the case and have a lead but have not yet released it to the public.
