Adobe is celebrating Photoshop's 35th anniversary by releasing a new mobile app made especially for smartphones—and the best part is, it's free!
The new Photoshop app is now available for iPhone, and according to Adobe, an Android version is also coming soon. You can upgrade for premium features, but the free version has essential tools like layering and masking for photo editing. Using the Tap Select tool, elements in the image can also be easily changed or deleted. Moreover, it has direct integration with other Adobe apps like Express and Lightroom for a smoother workflow.
The app also includes AI-powered tools like Adobe Firefly, Generative Fill, and Generative Expand. Users also have access to the Adobe Stock library for free, so more creative possibilities even on-the-go.
According to Adobe's Ashley Still, the new Photoshop mobile app is for everyone—from professional artists to first-time Photoshop users. He added, Photoshop's mobile and web apps provide a new way to create beautiful photos, graphics, and digital art anytime, anywhere.
For more advanced features, there is a Photoshop Mobile and Web plan that costs $7.99 USD/month or $69.99 USD/year. It includes more than 20,000 fonts, advanced blend modes, and AI-generated images that are safe for commercial use. The new Photoshop app is now available in the App Store, so keep an eye out for the Android release as well!
