Directed by Gareth Evans, Hardy plays the role of a detective who fights in the dark and dangerous world of the city. The film stars Jessie Mei Li, Justin Cornwell, Quelin Sepulveda, Luis Guzmán, Michelle Waterson, Sunny Pang, Jim Caesar, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Yeo Yann Yann, Timothy Olyphant, and Forest Whitaker.
According to the official synopsis, Walker (Tom Hardy) is a detective beaten up in the fight against the criminal underworld that wants to take over the entire city. After a drug deal goes awry, Walker is pursued by various groups—a revenge-hungry crime syndicate, a corrupt politician, and his own fellow cops. While he rescues the son of a politician who is in trouble because of a drug deal, a deeper corruption and conspiracy is gradually revealed. Because of this, he is forced to face the dark side of his past.
