
Early morning on February 21, there was a shooting at Shore 1 Condo in Pasay City. The police immediately responded and caught the two Chinese nationals. Guns, ammunition, and equipment suspected of being used in drugs were also seized from them. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
According to the Pasay Police, the shooting happened around 4:30 AM in Room 627 of Shore 1 Residence Tower B. The security guard of the condo heard a series of gunshots while patrolling. Because of this, he immediately asked for backup and called the police.
Based on the CCTV footage, after the shooting, the two suspects came out of the room—one carrying a knife and a shoulder bag. In the second floor hallway, security intercepted them and seized a .45 caliber gun, 30 bullets, a magazine, four spent bullets, a knife, and a glass pipe with traces of suspected shabu.
The suspects were immediately arrested and brought to the Pasay City Police Investigation and Detective Management Section (IDMS) and Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU). The case was also filed with the Pasay City Prosecutor's Office for further investigation and legal action.
Police are still investigating the source of the gunfire and the reason for the shooting. They are also not ruling out the possibility that there were others involved in the incident.
The Pasay Police reminded that they will increase security in the city to protect residents. They also encourage the public to be alert and immediately report any suspicious activity in their area.
According to some informants, many Chinese nationals live in Shore 1 Condo. It is said that there have been several security issues in the area involving foreigners. Because of this, the authorities have intensified their vigilance to prevent any criminal activity.
