The family of Christian Tendido Ambon, a criminology graduate who was killed after being accused of robbery in the Malate, Manila.
According to the family, Ambon chased a thief who stole his cellphone on February 8. He followed him to a house, but instead of helping, the residents beat him and neighbor.
Not only that—barangay officials tied him up and reportedly stabbed him with an ice pick.
Despite being the victim, Ambon was charged with trespassing and frustrated murder by the alleged thief.
Ambon went to Manila from Las Navas, Northern Samar to find a job, but instead of a bright future, tragedy befell him.
His family approached Sen. Raffy Tulfo to ask for help. According to Maj. Philipp Ines of the Manila Police District, the incident is being investigated to bring justice to Ambon.
